Hotel

Larger than a Guest House or Bed and Breakfast, a Hotel is generally found in lager towns and villages and provides a range of facilities.

A hotel provides a range of room types and has facilities such as bars and restaurants or 24 hour room service which may not be found in a Guest House or Bed and Breakfast.

A hotel may also provide leisure and beauty facilities, swimming pools, saunas etc. Often a hotel will have facilities for corporate meetings, weddings, and conferences.

A hotel, by definition should have dedicated staff that are employed to cater for the guests. Like Bed and Breakfast and Guest house properties, a hotel now has a standard rating system based on the star system which has been agreed between the AA and the tourist boards.
