By Car: Travelling North along the A12.
After Yoxford take the right turning sign posted Westleton. About a mile you will reach Westleton. Turn left at the garage, through the village with the Green on your left. At the top of the Green continue on along Blythburgh Rd. The Bed and Breakfast is the fourth house on your left.
If you miss the first turning after Yoxford take the second, sign posted Darsham. Drive through Darsham and on into Westleton. The White Horse Inn will be on your right. Follow road to your left with the Green on your right. At the top of the Green turn left into Blythburgh Rd, we are the fourth house on your left.
Travelling South on the A12.
Turn right at The White Hart Inn sign posted Blythburgh B1125. This road will take you into Westleton about two miles on. You will find Moorside Lodge on the right a few houses along.
By Bus: Bus services from Westleton:
Services run to Leiston, Saxmundham and Lowestoft. Departures times can be found on the timetables posted in the Bus Shelter opposite the village hall. Or full details can be found at: Suffolk.gov.uk/TransportAndStreets/PublicTransport
By Train: From Liverpool Street Station, (London to Lowestoft), stopping at Darsham. There are either direct trains or you will have to change at Ipswich. If you are travelling by train let me know what time you are arriving at Darsham and if it is possible I will pick you up by car. Otherwise you can call 01728- 668039 for a taxi but you will need to book in advance, especially in the summer season.

By Plane: The nearest airports are Norwich or Stanstead.
Accommodation
Moorside Lodge has a choice of rooms all decorated to a very high standard. There are two doubles (one en suite) and two twin rooms. The en suite has a very large walk in cubicle with a power shower. The main bathroom has a corner bath, separate large corner shower cubicle and shaving point. All rooms are of a good size. An additional single room can be made available if required.
All rooms are provided with wireless internet access,TV, hair dryer, luggage rack, have double glazing and central heating, so nice and warm through those winter visits.
All the bedrooms are on the first floor.
Please note a deposit of 25% will be required to secure bookings. Bookings cannot be guaranteed until the deposit is received. A cancellation fee will operate if not enough notice, (one week) is given.
Arrival Time:- You may arrive between 5pm and 7pm as your room will be ready. Any earlier or later will need to be made at time of booking.
Day of Departure:- We ask that you vacate your room by 10.00am.
Settling your Bill:- Please settle your account on the evening before departure. CASH & CHEQUES ONLY. Cheques must be covered by bank card.
Facilities
Moorside Lodge has an intimate back garden, when in season is full with beautiful flowers. The front is smart, also with many plants & shrubs. Both may be used. Sit out and enjoy. There are tables and chairs, take your tea/coffee out if you like.
We would like you to feel at home when you are here, so do not think you have to stay in your bedroom. Come down stairs, sit/eat in the dining room. Lounge around in the conservatory and sun yourself (weather permitting) in the gardens.
The conservatory has a TV & Radio, and there are also a few games, jigsaws, pencils, and paper for guests to use.
Wireless Internet access:- For those people who can't go on holiday without their lap tops we have Internet Facilities just for you. :-)
Off street parking:- Cars may use the drive. There is enough turning space so you don't have to back onto the road.

Extra Info
Moorside Lodge is a home as well as a Bed & Breakfast establishment. To maintain the quality of the accommodation, we would like to ask you to understand and co-operate with the 'no smoking' and 'no shoe' policy. Indoor Slippers will be provided where required.
We regret, we cannot take pets as we have our own dog and cat who are not allowed upstairs in guest rooms.
Guests will be provided with keys for their sole use, if lost you will be asked to pay £10 to cover the cost of a new set. We would appreciate if new guests could arrive between 5pm and 7pm, if arriving later arrangements need to be made when booking. We would be grateful if guests would leave each day by 10 am and do not return before 4 pm.
There is a cycle hire shop in Darsham village, not far from Darsham train station.
There are a few buses in and out of the village.

The area is popular for bird watchers with the famous Minsmere Bird Reserve nearby. Westleton Common and the extensive forest and heathlands play host to many species of flora and fauna.
Westleton is 9 miles from Snape Maltings, the home of the Aldeburgh Festival and Snape Proms. The art centre in Halesworth holds a wide range of theatrical, musical and cinematic events. Southwold and Aldeburgh both hold summer theatres. There is also a theatre in Woodbridge. There are cinemas in Leiston and Aldeburgh.
The Village has many events throughout the year. Details of these can be found on the village website www.onesuffolk.co.uk/westletonpc and on the village notice boards. There are Tourist Information Offices in Southwold, Aldeburgh and Halesworth. There are links to many of the local attractions on this website in the 'local' section.
Food & Drink
Guest will have the use of the dining room and access to a large conservatory leading to an enclosed garden. A self service Continental style breakfast will be available from 6.00 till 9.30 am. Breakfast will consist of a selection of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast, jam/marmalade/honey, fruit juice, selection of tea's and fresh coffee. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits are available in the dining room between 4pm and 10pm.
Dinners and evening meals are available at the pubs and restuarants in the village. Whilst we have no cooking facilities for guests, you are welcome to bring food into the dining area.
