Welcome
Hotel Market Harborough.

A delightful family-owned & run country hotel, Dingley Lodge is set in its own grounds on the borders of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. We have spent a long time in the restoration of this lovely Victorian house, with its fine views and its wealth of stripped pine, and have an established and ever-growing reputation for comfortable accommodation, fine home-cooked food and personal service.

The house itself is an elegant Victorian building set in four acres of garden and paddocks in open countryside on the Leicestershire/Northamptonshire border. Built for a highly-esteemed farm manager it overlooks the old bustling town of Market Harborough and has extensive views over the Welland Valley and Dingley's own Point-to-Point course.
About
Our rooms are named after the local fields. Why not come and stay in 'Lordships' or 'Corkhams' and test for yourself our reputation for fine food and personal service? The house is large enough to accommodate groups of up to16 guests and there is sufficient space outside to park everyone's cars (we've even had a couple of helicopters) or to erect a marquee for larger family parties and functions.

Dingley Lodge offers more than just accommodation. We have a licensed bar, a lounge and a dining room, all of which can all be made available for your exclusive use if your party books the whole building. We also offer these same facilities for meetings and 'away days'.

Dingley Lodge is a licensed premises, not just for the sale of alcohol but also for most types of live or recorded performance. The licence extends beyond the building itself to include our two excellent marquee sites which are suitable for larger functions. Should you require more than our on-site facilities, DIngey Lodge is only a couple of miles from the town of Market Harborough where excellent shopping and leisure facilites are available. Outdoors we have a superb cloistered terrace and guests are welcome to stroll round the grounds and meet the animals.
  • free parking

Like an increasing number of accommodation providers, we've fought shy of Visit Britain/Tourist Board star rating schemes. We prefer instead to stand or fall on the opinions of our customers, some of whom have written generous reviews on internet sites such as Trip Advisor, where Dingley Lodge is rated as the top hotel in Market Harborough.

It's difficult where to place Dingley Lodge in the correct accommodation category since the 'hotel' image implies loads of facilities and often impersonal service. Maybe we should simply badge ourselves as a Licensed Guest House.
